On Thursday June 22, we were delighted to host a morning tea for a small group of our wonderful donor community at Torrens Parade Ground. The event provided an opportunity to keep our donors informed on how their ongoing support of The Road Home is helping to improve health and wellbeing for our veterans, emergency service personnel and their families.
On the morning, guests enjoyed hearing an update on our Wellbeing Program from Program Manager Fiona Dale and Project Officer Mark Reidy who were able to provide an insight on the positive impacts the program is having on injured service men and women. A very special thanks to guest speaker Brendan Hardman who delivered an inspirational and powerful speech regarding his own personal battles from being forced to leave the army and now involvement in the Wellbeing Program.
Testament to the generosity of our donor community, we would like to extend a very special thank you to those who attended and also did not attend on their significant donations to The Road Home, raising over $5,000!
