The Road Home’s annual Remembrance Business Breakfast provides an opportunity to acknowledge and honour our veterans, both past and present.
We were pleased to host our 2017 event on Friday November 10 at the Adelaide Convention Centre where over 220 guests heard from an inspirational panel. This included Colonel Richard Mallet, former army medic Talissa Papamau, Dr Miranda Van Hooff from the University of Adelaide and veteran Brendan Hardman who all shared their expertise on paving the road to recovery through research, art and the Invictus Games.
Thank you to the Australian Girls’ Choir who put on a stunning performance as well as our event sponsors the University of South Australia, RSL Care and Saab Australia.
The Breakfast was also a timely opportunity to announce our inaugural National Grant Round that will take place this year. This grant round will give researchers the opportunity to access funding to support their research aimed at benefiting the wellbeing of our servicemen and women. We look forward to announcing more details on this in the near future.
Thank you to all who attended to honour our veterans at the annual Remembrance Business Breakfast and those who donated in their absence. Your support is making a difference to the lives of our nation’s heroes.
